Advanced Power’s core business (under the MPower banner) is the design, manufacture, installation and service of electrical power generation equipment and associated control systems for commercial, industrial and military applications.

MPower’s significant investment in R&D, combined with their engineering expertise and years of experience, has established the company as a leader in the design and development of new generators, controllers and technology for special requirements.

MPower’s military specification generators are constructed for rugged conditions and are developed specifically to stringent military requirements for the Australian Army. All military specification generators undergo comprehensive testing and have survived extremes in temperature, humidity, salt laden atmospheres, vibration and drop tests.

All products within the military range provide exceptional power quality which exceeds the military requirements of QSTAG299 under all load conditions, and EMC performance exceeds military standard 461. Each model incorporates a unique microprocessor based control system with engine monitoring and shutdown and digital readout including volts, speed and load.

MPower has also designed a military specification floodlight trailer for use in tropical climates and high altitudes. These have been tested MC2 to allow deployment over cross-country terrain including gravel, sand, mud and water crossings. The floodlight set consists of five 1000W metal halide lamps on a hydraulically operated mast that extends to a height of 8.5m from the ground. It is capable of illuminating an area 100m W x 150m L with an average light intensity of at least 6.5 lux. The Hatz diesel engine delivers 6.5kVA. A 240V auxiliary outlet can also be utilised to supply up to 10A of power.
